To keep this "Savage" related, I am planning on putting the new seat with the flames on Stef's bike this week. Now, to the business at hand.

With all the "Political Correctness" in this world that we live in, I just don't get why some folks get offended over some things. Take "nationality issues" for example:
African-American....would imply that they are African (born on that continent, or became an African citizen), but parents are citizens of the United States.

Get the picture?

How about Native American.....implies that you were born in America, which I was, so that means that I am a native of America, right? I have Native American Tribal ancestors, (the ones that took scalps and used bows and arrows), which brings me to my next example.

American Indian......implies that you were born in America, but are of Indian (ancestors from India) descent.

Get the picture? The correct terminology isn't being used. It should be: American-African, American-Italian, American-Irish, American-Mexican, etc., ect., ect.

I have Native American Tribal ancestors and am proud of it. You wanna talk racism and getting screwed by the "Guvmint", look no further than all the Tribal Indian nations from United States History.

I read a great quote from a Cherokee Indian once. He was a World War II veteran. A reporter was asking him how he could put his life on the line by fighting for the Unitied States, after all that had been done to "his" people by the American government. His reply? "You just don't get it, do you? I am not a mercenary, I AM fighting for my country! It belongs more to "me" and "my" people more than it does to "you" and "your" people, don't you think?"

Stong medicine in that statement.
